Ever wanted to look amazing, have a truly unique style or just learn to style your hair differently? Fantasy hairstyles are a great source of inspiration.
From emo to goth to scene hairstyles, you could learn to backcomb, experiment with new hair products and clip and twist in loads of different ways.
Start by buying some different styling products, like straighteners, curlers, grips, elastics, combs, brushes, hairspray, gel, wax, etc. Then browse through loads of photos to decide on a look that you like.
Don’t be afraid to try something new; you can really learn from your mistakes, and being bold will mean that you appear confident and sexy.
Emo Hairstyles
Think straight, think backcombed, think side parting and a fringe. Don’t be afraid to accessorize your hair; add some cute kids clips and a funky Alice band. You could try adding some streaks or highlights to your hair for an extra unique hairstyle.
Keep straighteners at the ready in the morning to create the perfect side sweeping fringe, and add a little holding spray to keep it looking neat all day.
Gothic Hairstyles
Black hair dye is obviously important for a Gothic hairstyle look. Other than that goths don’t generally have a rule for exactly how to style their hair.
Extreme haircuts are usually labelled as Gothic, anything ‘drastic’ or unusual. Blue streaks are a popular accent color though. Looking like you’ve thought about your hair style is super important, as it needs to make a statement and be memorable.
There are so many different types of goth look, that it is important you decide which look you are going to go for – vampire, romantic, cyber, cabaret or rock.
Scene Hairstyles
Totally similar to Emo hairdos, scene hairstyles are straight and side sweeping, but they are far more glossy than Emo styles.
Hair extensions are pretty popular, as is blonde, big hair. The haircut is usually a really choppy, layered style; and cute clips and head bands are there to give the look a bit more individuality.
Ghetto Hairstyles
Ghetto hairstyles aren’t all about braids and spikes! Think Rihanna’s edgy elegant red carpet looks and experiment with creating a quiff or dying your hair another color.
Give your hair a simple but chic look, by adding some texture and height with the best hair styling products. Let your natural hair shine by just pinning it back or cutting it slightly differently.
Rockabilly Hairstyles
These are all about the curls and the quiff. This is a pretty high maintenance fantasy hairstyle, and can give you a beautiful retro 1940s vintage look.
You can go a little out of the ordinary with this look and add streaks of color or extensions to make it look more trendy and modern. You could also dial this one down a bit and take just a hint of inspiration from the look…but what’s so fun about that?!
